Student Leadership
House Leaders: Eight Year 6 students are selected to lead each of our school Houses. They are involved in planning and organising our House competitions, and also present at school assemblies. These students set an example for others by demonstrating our school values.
Sports Leaders: Lead activities and games with younger children and are taught the important qualities that are needed when working with young people. They also organise and deliver equipment and lead team morale at our inter-school competitions.
Cultural Leaders: Cultural Leaders play a crucial role in fostering a vibrant and inclusive school culture. These students actively contribute to promoting diversity, organising cultural events, and celebrating various traditions within our school community.
Tamariki Council: Our tamariki Councillors provide feedback on school events and issues, representing their classmates’ views. The student council serves as a bridge, sharing students’ ideas, interests, and concerns with teachers and the Senior Leadership Team.
Peer Mediators: Peer Mediators engage in the ‘Cool Schools’ Peer Mediation Programme, mediating disputes among peers constructively. This programme imparts vital life skills for peaceful conflict resolution, fostering positive and caring relationships. Students in Years 5- 6 can apply to join the Peer Mediator team.
Senior students can also take on the following service roles within the school:
- Tech Support
- Student Librarian
- Road Patrol
- Wet Day Monitor
