Bluebeard Day

Tuesday, 12 April was Bluebeard Day at the Auckland Blues’ training ground, Unitec.

A mixed group of boys and girls from Years 5 and 6 were invited to join the entire Blues squad. What a great day. First all the Blues were introduced by Pat Lamb, the Blues coach, then we had a fun relay, tackling a bag, running zigzags, passing, getting past a Blue and scoring a try. We came second in the primary schools.

We then went with some Pro Sport, and Blues for some great activities. Running, passing, star jumps, and heaps more.

The day ended with everyone getting a pack with a free pass, chocolate bar, stickers, Blues postcard, and a huge poster.

Then to the luxurious bus we were given free back to school after a tiring but awesome day.

Top Town

On Friday we came 2nd in the Top Town Challenge against 9 other Primary and Intermediate Schools!
Fabulous effort from the 16 Year 6 children and a special Thank you to our supporters!!

Rugby League Field Day

An excellent day was had at Rutherford College for the League Field Day with our team well supported by a good number of parents, in brilliant sunshine. Our team played well winning four of the five games but due to the nature of the draw finished 5th.

Players of the Day: Ethan Poi and Manaia Matafeo.
Special mention to the Captain, Alex Gilbert who lead by example all day!

The boys involved in the over 50kg combined team finished 1st equal. Thanks to Mr Pilkington for organising the day and Mr Siaki for coaching the team.
