Christmas on the Green – CANCELLED

Due to the predicted on-going bad weather, we have decided to cancel Thursday’s Christmas on the Green. Instead we will have a modified concert at 1.40pm in the hall, with limited seating.

Care Link Trust Christmas Collection

We posted previously about our annual collection of food items for the Care Link Trust, and thought you’d like to see the amazing end result of our collection which was delivered to Care Link on Friday. Great work Matipo community!

Parakai Trip 2011

On Friday 9th December, all the wardens and librarians from Matipo went to Parakai Pools for their end-of-year day out! The weather was fabulous and much fun was had by all! The children were, as always, a credit to our school!

Retirements

Linde McKechnie and Doug Pilkington are both retiring at the end of this year. They have both been at the school for 14 years, and along with Mrs Forgie who retired earlier in the year, we have lost a huge chunk of experience.

Our sincere thanks and absolute best wishes to both Doug and Linde. Enjoy your retirement!

NZI Canterbury Earthquake Memorial

Earlier in the year the school and NZI Insurance planted a memorial tree to honour the memory of those who died in the Canterbury earthquake.

Hobbiton
