Kia Ora, bonjour, konnichiwa, talofa, kia orana, ola, ni hao and HELLO from Room 9!
My name is Victoria Cotton-Everitt, and I embarked on my teaching journey in 2004. I taught for 3 years in Auckland before heading off on my OE with my husband Matt. Returning to NZ in 2009, we were lucky to have two children who are now at Matipo School.
I studied Social Work before I became a teacher and helping other people is a real passion of mine. As a dedicated teacher, I will ensure that student learning needs are the primary focus of attention. I strive to create a classroom that is a welcoming, positive and fair environment where all students learn from one another and feel safe and comfortable to share their thoughts and ideas.
I have lived on the Peninsula for almost 6 years and I really love this community. I enjoy bike riding, yoga, listening to music, reading, photography, and baking.
I very much look forward to the learning ahead, and meeting you and your children.
