Kia ora! My name is Lindsay Wills. I am excited about teaching Year One students with the rest of the team in the Taonga Syndicate. I like to think of our syndicate as a family – we help and support each other.

I embarked on my teaching journey in 2015 after spending five years in neurosurgical nursing at Auckland Hospital. I have strong values of care, respect and independence. These are strongly embedded in my teaching practice. I believe that helping others is important, and want to be the best role model for my students and community in this way. I have high expectations for myself and students – we work hard and laugh hard, too!

I’m a local girl, having grown up in Te Atatu Peninsula since 1997, when my family emigrated here from South Africa. I enjoy playing and coaching sports (particularly softball), listening to music, going to concerts, travel, crafts and op-shop shopping. I also enjoy snorkelling and would love to have another go at scuba diving.
