The new principal’s position has officially been advertised. The successful applicant should be known by the end of this term and following my retirement at the end of Term 3, will take over from the beginning of Term 4.

Congratulations to the Friends of Matipo team (Natalie Kennerley, Tori Cotton-Everitt, Hollie Colegate, Amanda Lowe, Jess Hallows, Natasha Cook, Jude Brunel-Morvan, Kristie Penwarden, and Leeanne Boyle), for a very successful ‘Quiz Night’ with a huge attendance and an abundance of prizes on offer.

New Appointments
Mrs Kennerley and Mrs Foley interviewed candidates for the two maternity vacancies created by Mrs Brooks-Leijh and Miss Mitchell. We were very lucky to be able to secure the services of Mrs Delwyn Day (Room 5), and Mrs Elise Van De Ven (Room 21) who will take up their appointments at the beginning of Term 3.

Board of Trustees By-Election
The official count will take place on Thursday afternoon but the Returning Officer is obliged to inform all candidates of the outcome before it becomes public knowledge. We hope to make an official announcement on our school’s Facebook tomorrow by 10am.

Thanks
Many thanks to Kirsty and Simon Ibbotson for their generous donation of boxes of tissues for all our classrooms.

Assembly
Tomorrow’s assembly is at 2.15 pm in the hall for the Taonga and Mana syndicates, and will be hosted by Room 20.
